Welcome to our Morrison-h2 family website. Our Morrison family is connected through DNA results and many hours of research. We extend from the East Coast to the West Coast.
Our connections begin in Southwest Virginia, however, our family histories all tell us our ancestor's came from Scotland. We are in the research process of proving that origin.
Records, family histories and tradition tell us our forefathers were patriots who were strong in their convictions and brave in battle. One of our histories relates that two brothers, Patrick and James and a cousin George came to America from Scotland. All three fought at the Battle of Kings Mountain, however, only the two brothers survived. Them and their sons served in the Militias prior to the start of the Revolution. Three sons of Patrick, William, James and John became soldiers in the 6th Regiment Continental Army serving with General George Washington in his battles with England. They endured the harsh winter of 1777 at Valley Forge. Tradition has it that one of the Morrison brothers, James even played the fiddle for General George Washington.
We are looking for our Morrison family kin to help us complete our journey back to Scotland. So, if you are a descendent of one of these men please see our contact page to see if you might be a Morrison-h2.
If you have any questions or comments about the information on this site, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you.
